The film dramatizes the many challenges faced by single women living in Mumbai and highlights their resilience. All of these women are nurses in the same hospital, but that’s where the similarities end, as each has her own set of specific problems and, one might say, solutions. Desire, fear, regret, and intense patience are the emotions that constantly shift as the story quietly unfolds. Perhaps the biggest asset is the script, which offers incredibly rich and thoughtful dialogue between the characters. There is enough action in the plot to provide a scaffolding for conversations in which people can be incredibly honest and vulnerable with each other, even when they are lying or posing. The acting is uniformly excellent and is on par with the script – no false notes, although there are some loose ends. The cinematography and editing also very cleverly create a reflective and slightly detached atmosphere. The quiet intensity of the characters interact. The detachment is developed several times when the film seems to have documentary elements or seems to give off that impression. I have not always been a fan of the music and the way it is addressed, but this is a minor issue that many people are unaware of. share.This film “Samman Amak” In my opinion, this film has enough heart and sincerity to be considered cynical or manipulative – as much as any film trying to tell an important story in a convincing and beautiful way. The film takes a lot of risks that I can’t imagine in an increasingly sectarian and puritanical India.
