The adventure of two foxes who are preparing to become parents for the first time in a time when global warming is changing the rules for everyone. In Spain, the story was directed by Jacob Petrus, a zoologist, naturalist and ecologist known in the country for being the creator, director and host of the TV show Aquí la tierra (2014). You don’t see many film adaptations of animal documentaries. Judging by this film, that may be a mistake. An exciting and captivating story of two polar foxes and wide, high-quality shots of the arctic nature held my attention throughout this film. I was surprised by how many twists and turns this film could offer, even if it was just a sequence of events in the foxes’ lives. Although not human, these actors were able to demonstrate ingenuity and successfully evoke empathy, which made me laugh at the cute little cries of the foxes, scared me by the loud blows and barks of the dogs and made me feel happy for them once reunited, after many adventures and the near death of the male. Overall, a nice little film, which might appeal to children, although those who were at the cinema with me were not too captivated, unlike me.
